Q: was the original IPDM actually bad?..or did you replace it with the FP just because?
I would put the original IPDM back in and see what happens from there.

There are a few different IPDMs
There is a white sticker on the side, it needs to be the correct parts INTERCHANGE number, doesn't necessarily need to be the exact same number.
For examples the 2004.5+ cars can use Nissan part numbers 284B7-AQ006, 284B7-AQ016, 284B7-AQ066 or the current revision 284B7-AQ01B
2003-2004.5 5AT uses 284B7-AL500, 284B7-AL50 or the newest revision 284B7-AL51A
2003-2004.5 6MT uses 284B7-AL505, 284B7-AL50B or the newest revision 284B7-AL51B

I put the old IPDM in and it had the same issue but no windshield wiper issue like the junk yard one. I ended up buying a used IPDM with the same number from the OG one and it did the same issue, ecu output to the fuel pump fuse was going in and out.
