Debadged Residue, help

I'm debadging the car as we speak

1. Heated up the Badges
2. Used floss and took of the badge
3. Remove excess sticky stuff left
4. ah? lol I'm stuck

There is still an imprint from where the badges were.. any ideas on this? most of the "stick stuff is off." any suggestions? heres some pix

These pix are around 1MB so view them full sized and you'll know what I mean

walmart, target, artsy fartsy type stores (michael's, johanns's, etc), etc.

I would try claybar first though... and wax.

It should in the cleaning supplies section. I got some in my local drug store in cleaning supplies. $3 to $4 I think

goo gone? I tried wd-40 to remove the sticky glue stuff, and it got most of it off, but i also am left with an imprint around the edges, very thin though... so goo gone would be the best method to remove the remaining residue? I just want to know whats the best product to help me remove the remaining imprints off with easily and fast and effective... so is it goo gone, bug tar remover or claybar?

i would try goo-gone first, it gets everything off immediately. if not, try the claybar then see if it that works.

I just rebadged mine today. It came out NICE I did the following steps and it took my about 1 hour.
1. Clean area where your debadging
2. Heat with blowdryer (each letter for about 1 minute)
3. Use dental floss behind emblems and saw
4. Apply Goo Gone on terry cloth towel and clean away sticky stuff.
5. Wash and wax. Waxing will remove the imprint of the old emblems.

Now I'm just debating whether or not to replace the Mt. Fuji with the Nissan logo.

Why in the hell would you do that?? Take away an Infiniti badge/label and replace it with a Nissan badge?? Why not slap a Chrysler sticker on it??

Because it is a Nissan! It's only considered a luxury car because of the Infiniti emblems. Thats the only difference! No matter how you look at it, this car started off as a Nissan Skyline 350GT. How do you even get Chrysler into this?

We debadge all the time for customers, we even do blackout and gold badging as well. Anyways we do not use any chemicals of any kind or heat to remove. Just floss to pull off the acutall piece, then for the residue we have an "eraser wheel" made by 3M. Its about 4" in diameter when new and its like an artists eraser, but with a shank on it so it can be mounted into a cordless drill. Just take it to the residue and its gone! Give the area a good wax after and your good to go!
