Cold air intake rubber vibration mount stuck

I purchased an rubber vibration shock absorber to replace my old one that previous broke from my AEM cold air intake. I didn’t realize the other piece of the broken rubber piece is still in the frame. I tried to use vice grips to clamp on to what ever is remaining but would not clamp on. Any thoughts on how to remove it?

You're talking about the old rubber piece for the factory airbox right? I'd say just leave it, if you do want it removed either pry it out with a screwdriver or grab the edge with a pair of pliers and pull.
