ISR long tube headers on stock exhaust, decent upgrade?

Tempted to get the headers now while I save for the motordyne. Trying to work my way to the rear exhaust. This sound like a good idea while I'm saving up for the shockwave? Any hp gains expected from this install? Too raspy after?

Stock cats are the biggest restrictions on this platform. Long tubes are a huge upgrade tho, I probably wouldn’t run it with stock exh tho.

I would do new spark plugs then get an Uprev tune (through me), then while you enjoy the peppy responsive car save up and do the whole exhaust at once. Unless you really want to go all out I'd just get ART pipes and a catback, headers are a PITA to install and really don't give massive gains to justify the hassle.

Once you've been tuned you own the licenses and we can always retune for a big discount...

So the TDX2 arrives tomorrow and I'll run it with stock cats for now.

I'm planning on saving for two months or less to get in a replacement for my cats and possibly headers while I'm at it. Anyone have any good suggestions to keep the tdx2 not too loud? It's my daily driver and would like to keep it less ricey sounding.

Sounds like I'm at headers and cat replacement at this point. .

Ooh I like where this went.

you’ll want to run an HFC. Stock cats are the biggest restriction. Test pipes will be much louder than stock. Stock headers are acceptable, changing them is rough.

fwiw, the motordyne tdx2 is not known for being quiet. Invidia Gemini or Nismo is for people looking for a performance increase with similar to stock volume.

I found some Motordyne ART pipes for sale local to me for 500 bucks. I jumped on them right away. I'm so ready for a possible install tomorrow or Friday.
