Anyone installed Strup headers on stock exhaust yet?

I was interested in the Strup headers but I want to keep my stock exhaust because I LOVE the way it sounds right now.

I have the COPPER ISO THERMAL MREV PLUS (Motordyne), Z-tube and JWT Pop-charger. I want to keep the sound but try to add more power without changing the cats, y-pipe or exhaust. Won't headers just make the exhaust louder but have the same tone or will the headers change the sound of the exhaust?

I want to see a dyno of an 05 6MT w/ only the MREV mod then a dyno with MREV with STRUP headers added...

ANYONE?

I have both the Strup and Motordyne spacer. Not much difference in sound, but a hell of lot of difference in power. DO IT!
Get a hold of partshippers and tell'm Billete referred you

So the Strup headers made that much of difference?

The 12-15 HP gain is not what I am interested in because you won't even feel that but the torque gains that they claim will be quite noticeable if true.

Hey guys - yeah, the Strup headers will work great with a stock exhaust. We have a lot of customers who have them successfully installed with the stock exhaust system and are quite pleased and have had no problems. It will make the exhaust sound a little deeper, but you will probably notice the grumble more under the hood than out the back. Regardless, you'll be quite pleased!

I don't have any dyno charts available of the Strup headers on a car with the Motordyne MREV kit at this time - sorry.

As with most breathing mods, they'll work well together and will all help your engine perform better. So the Strup headers will work well with the Motordyne plenum mods - be it a spacer or the full MREV kit. And we have them both available. Feel free to PM me if you're interested.

for your reference, here's an independently submitted dyno chart from a my350z.com forum member who bought the Strup headers from us, and had them installed on his stock '05 Z with nothing more than a popcharger on it.

It shows pretty favorable gains and this is with a stock exhaust!

i'd also change out your cats - they're a big bottle neck and you can pick up a louder exhaust note and even more power - that's my plan anyways; install the headers and cats, sell the G200 (*since I got it at such a good price I can make like $400 profit on it)
