Selling my 2005 6mt coupe - I'm selling and so questions about Edmunds and KBB
SubscribeHello from Mandeville LA.
This board has been a fantastic resource for the 3-4 years I have owned my G35. I've recently moved and with the crazy insurance rates in Louisana, premium fuel, upcoming repairs, and the fact that I'm just not driving it, I've decided it's time to sell.
My question concerns the real world accuracy of Edmunds and Kelly Blue Book. My car has low miles, around 94,000 and no accidents, but it will need some mechanical work soon. Lock actuators, small oil leak at the top of engine, and very minor leak at the rack and pinion are the three things.
The book values are talking about 5800-6000, or maybe a little more, up to 6800. I was hoping to get more with a new front suspension and an aftermarket stereo but I'm going to lose big time on this unfortunately. So it goes.... I don't wrench and I don't want to keep paying for repairs, it's time to cut my losses.
So... how accurate are the on line estimators, or would you ask higher, closer to what I'd like at 8500 ? And as always, the market will dictate :-)
Thanks everybody...

The local market will dictate. I sold a G with 160k for $3500 in 2020. It probably would be worth $4-5k today, maybe.
check the cars that have been sitting longer than a week and their prices.
