Well, I did a little bit of research on the replacement costs for these Brembo brakes.

Carparts.com has replacement pads for the Brembo equipped G35 coupe. I found a price of $90 for the front set, and $58 for the rear set, so about $150 total for all the pads. These pads are made by KEM, so they're not original Brembo, but they are made to fit the Brembo calipers. I have no idea if they're any good or not.

As for rotors, I found original Brembo Sport rotors that are your choice of slotted or cross drilled for $300 for the set of four. Here:

So that's not bad, and those rotors are an upgrade from stock.

Here's another kit that claims to have the slotted Brembo Sport rotors, with
Brembor brake pads, for the full set, front and rear, for $1,000.

Here's a link to all of their brake pads and rotors for the G35:

I wonder if the expensive Brembo replacement cost will keep anyone from buying a Chrysler 300C SRT-8? LOL

If I read that link right, the $300 is only for the front 2 rotors. You get your choice of either slotted or cross drilled (they show both kinds in the photo which may have led you to thinking you got a set of 4 instead of a set for the fronts).

Someone posted a link on here somewhere I think with the StopTechs for $126 per rotor.

Why is everyone freaking out? The guy just went to the dealer to see what they would charge him to do a job that he did for less than $900.

You're right - I stand corrected. SO I guess its about $500-$600 for the full set. Damn that's expensive! I think I would have to go aftermarket if I needed to replace my rotors.

Be sure and xray aftermarket replacement rotors to see the internal differences in support structure ......vane shape, number, thickness, angles etc.
Just because they are the same size externally means little, same with look what ist the chemical composition and grade of the grey cast iron..........many quality grades available.

I'll bet the oem Brembo is a one of a kind extreme special.......vs. most generic crap grades of grey iron passed on to performance public.

But as someone said 99% of the performance for less money on 2005 maybe 95% not 99%. Those small increments get expensive!

does anyone know the diameter of the 2005's rotors vs the brembo's. Maybe after the brembos are warped or needs replacing you can swap them with the cheaper oem 2005's rotors. Will the brembo's calipers fit this? About to get my g in a month, just making sure repairs are affordable. doesn't the bumper to bumper warranty cover this?

norcal,
Since nobody is answering the questions your asking, I will chime in.

I just recently bought new pads for the front and rear brakes, and yes, they are brembo brand. The fronts were $ 92.00, and the rear was around $ 60, as the guy above said. I also bought these from lokey infiniti, here in clearwater, FL.

I say you go back, and shove it in his face, just to freak him out. Who knows, you might get something out of this.

OK guys...I have parts prices right here in front of me so here they are:
Front Pads: $202.34
Front Rotors: $550.20 each
Rear Pads: $137.37
Rear Rotors: $528.76 each

So in a worst carse scenario you are looking at $2497.63 in parts alone not including tax. Labor your looking at 2.5 hours each so 5 hours total. Most infiniti dealerships charge around $95 an hour labor so say about another $475. Add them together and your parts and labor total comes to $2972.63, you dont pay tax on labor so the tax on parts (lets use so cal for example) is 8.25%, tax total is $206.05 bringing the grand total to $3178.68.

Would you acutally need to replace front and rear pads and rotors...more than likely no. The service advisors are trained by nissan to quote high and give change later. So if we quote you $3200 but it ends up only being around $800 you are grateful it wasnt $3200. If they quote you $800 and it ends up being $3200 your gonna be pissed. If they quote you $3200 and it is $3200 you are expecting it. This is where the advisor should have crossed the line, and told you the truth that you would really only need front pads, the rotors are more than likely thick enough to still be machined, the rear pads dont wear out much and you have a better chance of getting struk by lightning than having to replace the rear rotors. But thats the difference between an advisor that can keep the customer happy and make a good amount of money...or an advisor thats only thinking of making money and doing everything by the book.

G35Mechanic you've had a lot of good and helpful posts that I've seen-please keep it up. Any idea why the prices you had from the book are so much more than TampaG35 above you paid? Should we all move to Florida?

Thanks.
