Low Tire Pressure Light

My 6MT's Low Tire Pressure Light is ON at least once a day. However, I checked all the tires have about 36 PSI when they were cold and 38-39 PSI when they were hot. What's wrong....

I had the same problem with my '04 5AT, Your tire pressure alarm will keep sounding untill you bring it to your dealership and have them fix it.

It took me a couple of trips, but they'll fix it up for ya, make em give ya a nice service wash for your trouble, thats what I do everytime I bring it in =)

I had mine go off in the fall a few times....All the dealer did was put more aire in the tire....around 39-40PSI and send me on my way (with a wash) without haveing to reset anything. I would suggest you do the same. 36PSI is probably close enough to set it off on your car...fill it to 40 and see if it goes off.

Have the dealer reset the tire pressure monitors to the correct pressure. I'd also take a look at your pressure gauge. If you don't have a quality gauge, it could be reading higher than the pressure actually is.

All we do is out more air in. Some guys do 36...but I like to fill to 38 and I never have any problems with it. The only time it acutally needs to be reset by hooking up the scan tool is if you get a completly flat tire, your driving on the spare, or one or two tires goes below 25psi. But 9 times out of 10 just fill to 38 or 40 and youll be good.

I have that happening to me right now. It turns out that I don't have tire pressure sensor because the dealers swapped my rims (didn't want chrome) with a 03 when i purchased it. I am in the process of dealing with them about this issue right now. Make sure you have TPS!
