Hi G35 drivers, it’s been very long since I’ve frequented this sub or any Infiniti G35 forum for that matter.

After years of my G35 sitting I finally decided to turn it on. I had to buy a new battery of course, since it’s been like 3 years or so.

I’m at 170k miles and my G35 was leaking oil while I was driving it and obviously still is. It was also misfiring, surprisingly it didn’t today, but I only took it around the block once.

Anyone have any idea where this smoke is coming from?

Also, what would be the best approach to restore this car? Or should I just let it go? It’s such a fun car to drive that I have a hard time letting it go, which it’s been sitting around for years.

You are due for upper and lower oil pan Leaks, Cops...
And not sure about the ?oil? around the oil cap/intake...
Are you getting a check engine or codes?

Cars don't do well when they don't get fired up now and again.

 

Hard to tell anything from that video. I would guess valve cover leak onto the exhaust.... Probably leaking around the oil cooler and that's getting blown onto other things on the bottom making it hard to tell what's coming from where. Car looks good though. I wouldn't have left that car sitting around for years. Sounds just like my 06X daily driver....
