2005 G35 Coupe Laser Red (All Options) w/ Photos
I traded my 2003.5 red G35 6MT coupe for a 2005 red 6MT coupe with all the options.
So far, I can attest that the '05 rides better than my '03 even with the new 19" wheels/tires. The dash is far more solid and about 99% of the creaks and rattles in my '03 are eliminated in the '05. Hope it stays that way. Also, the stereo sounds a little better. The treble is sharper. This is a January 2005 build and it does have the stereo bug others have discussed here. Only takes 4-5 seconds to fix, but annoying nevertheless. Overall it was worth the trade-up because it addressed 80% of the major concerns/wishes I had concerning my '03.

There's got to be more to this story; the math doesn't add up. The 2003 is only worth at the most about 30k for an extremely generous trade in value. Which would mean you would have to get a brand new fully loaded G35C for 33k, which is impossible. My guess is you had a car loan or lease they packed it into and they only asked you for 3k to make up some of the difference. Technically it would cost you a hell of a lot more over the new terms of your loan/lease (compared to staying with your 2003) than 3k assuming they packed your original loan or lease.
I really hate to start any drama, but hey if I'm wrong let me know the dealer and I'll be out there in a second buying a new 2005.
