Grubbs Infiniti: $0 over invoice (veteran only)

Anyone here with any buying experience from Grubbs Infiniti (DFW area, TX) and their military veteran at-cost purchase program?

FYI- for those who've served, you can purchase a new G35 Coupe (or any other model excluding the new M) for $0 over invoice (dealer cost). Just need your DD-214 as valid proof. They'll even ship you the vehicle for ~$750.

I'll post the link & 1-800 # (if you're interested) once I find it again...

It is a legitimate deal - no strings. They give a breakdown of how it works and what you can expect to pay on their website..

The text from their site:

Grubbs Infiniti is making this offer to all active and retired members of the US Armed Forces...

If you are currently on active duty or if you are a retiree Grubbs Infiniti will sell you ANY new Infiniti product for "invoice total" as reflected on the factory invoice from Infiniti to Grubbs Infiniti. This includes invoice cost for the vehicle as well as all factory installed options. A copy of this invoice will be forwarded to you once we order the vehicle.

For More Information On Military Sales Please Contact:

Ron Smith at 1-888-4 GRUBBS ext.4041

Or E-mail Us at militarysales@grubbs.com

Also valid for retirees. As a guy with 24 years (and counting) active duty under my belt I studied this one closely...

As a guy with 24 years (and no longer counting) I used the Grubb price of Invoice + $700 Shipping + ~$100 in Inventory & another small fee and made one phone call to a local dealer. The Local Dealer gave us the car for Invoice + $500 - about a $300 Saving. Local Dealer makes a sale and a profit and I save a little more.

I used a similar ploy to make a deal with a dealership closer to home. Although Grubbs was offering a better bottom line on the vehicle, I did better on my trade locally. Being stationed in Texas, my dealer knows about Grubbs (they all do) and are willing to work with you if they know you're willing to drive. I ended up about $500 over invoice but got an extra $3K on the trade.

Saltidawg - I take it you were Navy?
