2004 G35 rear control arm ball joint

Hey all,

Sorry if this has been asked before but for the life of me I couldn't find it through search. About to do a full suspension bushings replacement and I'm trying to gather all my parts. One that I'm finding difficult is the rear ball joint. Only thing I'm seeing online is the whole control arm for sale (12). I assume the front and rear are not interchangeable, does anyone know the with certainty the specs for the rear ball joint? Ran the problem through ChatGPT and got this part as a suggestion but wanted to check here since the website says it does not fit.

Thanks,
Jimmy

All the part sites say the ball joint is not replaceable. You have to buy the whole assembly. Nissan part number 55501-AL505 (passenger) 55502-AL505 (driver).

Although Amazon has this:
Amazon Amazon
.

Same thing at eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/222332207518.

YMMV.

I'm curious to hear how those work out for you, and how you get the existing ball joints out. As has been pointed out they're not replaceable; they're welded into the control arm. I bought Moog control arms when I did my suspension refresh. They appear to be similar in quality to OEM and were far less expensive.

God damn, didn't know that. We'll see how it goes. IIRC the control arms are aluminum? So that will be hard to remove without warping the whole thing.
