P0447 after replacing EVAP Canister Vent Control Purge Valve

So the check engine light came on and I scanned the car for a P0455 code which indicated a EVAP emission system leak. I decided to replace the EVAP vent control valve because it was relatively cheap to do so however it created a new code which is P0447. The old P0455 code is gone and I have tried clearing the codes for the new one yet it's still appearing. So far I haven't noticed anything abnormal that's affecting the performance of the vehicle, it's just the check engine light is bothering me and I want to get to the bottom of the issue. Any ideas what could be causing the issue? Would I need a whole new canister?

Have you checked your gas cap recently? Leaking cap will throw bunch of codes. Do you smell gasoline around the car after normal driving? If so, try to isolate it by using your nose.
It can be wiring issue, faulty plug..
