5AT Noise Really annoying
Car is cold, i start up the engine wait around 10 seconds, through it in reverse, then into drive, slowly bring the car up to 9mph and right before the automatic tranny shifts into 2nd I hear this noise (wheeeennnnnn kaaa zzzzz) its really hard to discribe, but it sounds like something is either rubbing or grinding. That happens every morning when i go to school, when school is over i start my car up smoke a cig, let the car warm up and the noise dosent happen.... Anyone with automatic tranny have this noise?
I can somewhat feel the vibration through my gas pedal and steering wheel, the noise come from around the firewall near the flexplate/torque converter
Any ideas fellow G-Riders??? Anyone else have this problem or did?? PLZ help me i aint got time to go to the dealer... THanks
PS WUD UP TINMAN

I've got the same noise, it's a grinding, I believe its the ABS adjusting. Its is an AWFUL sound. I hear it every morning as I descend from the parking garage.

"when school is over i start my car up smoke a cig" SMOKING KILLS-stop now while you can. It smells bad too, on you and the car and stays with the car for years!
Unfortunately, I can't blame the noise on the cigarette. I agree it is the ABS setting itself, or something like that.
