I really like what you did with your corners. Can you tell me some more about it? Like how you did it? Also, any still pics of it? I wanted to see how bright the amber light is. Ive always wanted the bright amber look with my clear corners, but the amber bulbs just never cut it..

Thanks guys...The clear corner mod was very tedious unfortunately I didn’t take any step by step photos because it was a work in progress. I ordered the LEDs from some guy on ebay and paid him via paypal @ mckenkenken@mskl.com... He sales the LEDs very cheap (30 buck for about 150 bulbs) and used this LED calculator http://www.casemodgod.com/led_calculator.htm to determine what resistors I’ll use and the rest just fell into place. You have to be very careful when opening your sidemarkers because they’re very easy to crack. If you’re locate in the tristate area NY, NJ or CT maybe we can pull together a few others who would like to do this mod.

Monroe,
I would be interested. I live right outside of NYC. Did you ever think of making one to fit into the rear taillight blinker? I am sure that is feasible as well. I never got why Infiniti uses regular bulbs for turn signals and the rest LED. Guess they have stock on conventional bulbs or some sort of contract with bulb makers. LEDs are just superior in every way.

Labor charges will depend on your current setup. If you have a factory setup and want to buy all the components from precision i.e. nav unit they will discount labor approx 80 bucks an hour. If already have all components and just want an install labor will be about 90 an hour. The job takes about 6 hours.

Yes "PeteNJ" I plan to do the rear tail light blinker real soon...just have to find the time. I hope the taillight housing is easier to take apart.

I like your web site setup.
That nav is pretty weird....kind of looks like it has a top hat when up Any more pics of the cleared out headlight?

Good stuff.

Well actually that "Top Hat" doubles as a sun shield for glare. Trust me out of all the nav installs I've seen here this is the hottest. No chance of some greedy jackass ripping your dash apart because he saw your Avic N1 sticking 1 to 2 inches out from your double din conversion install.

Your Mods are nicely done and well thought out Monroe!

I like it when people take the time to think through their mods and then do a quality install.....it shows!!!

You have taken some of the mods that I have done or wanted to do but you have taken them to the next level. The Top-hat on the Navi is ingenious.....stealth when closed while functional at shading the screen when open......outstanding!!! The LED's in the corners operate great....the abrupt flash that they make is definitely trick. The removing of the orange front turn signal and retaining just the clear is a clean look.

Excellent work!
