How to remove the dealer sticker...

I just bought my car and was wondering the best method to remove the dealer sticker on the car. It is located on the trunk driver side. I heard that it is best to use a hair dryer to melt the adhesive and then slowly peel it off. Is this correct? Or are there any better methods out there...

man.. I really hate those kind of dealers that put their name on cars.. I mean, I would do it if they pay me for advertising them. Otherwise, NO WAY am I going to put their sticker on my car.

Hair dryer should work. To clean up any leftover residue you can try "Goo Gone".

Best way is to drive it back to the dealer at lunch and make them remove it.

Strange! they have never put it any of cars, have them remove it. Just ask them nicely. My friend did that and they removed it for him when we took his car in to have the front plates installed.

Hair dryer to loosen the adhesive, and floss to take it off. Then use goo-gone (or similar) to get ride of the excess.

I used my fingers. Came off right away pretty easily.

In Maryland, I believe the dealer is required by law to remove the sticker if you don't want it, and repair any damage caused by the removal. Could be an urban legend, I can't remember where I heard it.

Regardless, I have used an iron (regular clothes iron) to remove decals from the plastic bumper. Set it about half way to start, raise the temp if that doesn't work.

No warranties, express or implied, on this advice. Do it at your own risk!

If it's new you can lift the edges with your finger nails and just peel off.
My dealer placed their darn aluminum emblem on my car so I just pulled it off
the same night, waxed afterwards.

At least they didn't drill holes on my front bumper for the plates. I was
happy for that.
