Keep in mind guys, he said $39,500 was out the door, meaning it includes 7.75% sales tax, or about $3050 in taxes. That means the car price is around $36,450. According to edmunds.com, your car would be around $35,850 invoice, so like you said 600-700 over invoice. I think that's a pretty good deal. That's damn close to my VPP pricing.

Ah... true. I missed the fact it was "out the door" price. Yep... did the numbers too... roughly $600-800 above invoice. Just ignore my earlier post, my config has some significant differences. Not a bad price.

thanks so much for all your comments guys, i really appreciate it

the second dealer has emailed me back since this morning when i made the post, saying he can beat the $39,500 out-the-door. now all i'm trying to do is to get a better APR and i'm set to go. getting a new car is stressfull, not to mention something as pricey as this (i'm only 2 years removed from college and still paying back school loans >_<), and i will be paying both loans for a very long time, so anything i can shave off really pays off for me in the end. but i'm pretty much mentally exhausted going back and forth, and i hope to make a decision by the end of the week.

i'll let you guys know if and when i get the car.

in the meantime, anymore advice you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.
once again, thank you all for your great advice!
