clicking sound after driving hard.
Do any of you guys have a clicking sound when stopped? Last night I pulled up to a drive thru window and hear a constant clicking sound coming from underneath my car. It only clicks when I drive moderately to hard, and clicks about every second for a few minutes until the car cools down. It happend again today, this time I can hear it from inside the car with the windows rolled up. Starting to bug me, does anyone know anything bout this?

Re: clicking sound after driving hard.
I drove it pretty hard the other night ..
pulled over in a infiniti dealership to check out other G's
(dont ask me why, its not they are any different)
and I heard a loud tick .... just one... like the steel pipes crack sound....
we all know the sound...but it was loud..
and I started to time its intervals ..every 10 seconds
then 15 seconds
the 25 seconds and eventually went away.
keeping in mind ..driving hard for me is up to 4 k in most gears for some time .. on my car which has 1200 kms
so ... I think it is completely normal .... I like the sound ... reminds me of my pops old 66 Vette with a 427 turbo jet

Re: clicking sound after driving hard.
I get the same thing, although it really doesn't require hard driving anymore, and the intervals between them have shortened. It's a much sharper snapping sound than on previous cars I've driven, but apparently it's either completely normal or a model-wide problem. Either way, no point in worrying about it. Come to think of it, Porsches sound like that too, although they're still not quite that sharp a sound, more "clickity-clickity-click" rather than "CRACK... CRACK"
