That's a pretty tall order, but there are a couple that fit that bill that I can think of besides the M3:

1 - Cadillac CTS-V: 400hp, 0-60 4.8 sec, 4 doors, rear seats, trunk, can be had under $50k.
2 - 2005 Pontiac GTO: 400hp, 0-60 4.8 sec, 2 doors, seats 4, trunk, can be had for about $35k.
3 - Mustang GT / Shelby GT500: 300-450hp? 0-60 4.9-4.5 sec, 2 doors, seats 4, trunk, can be had for about $25k-$39k.

Add all of the Merc AMG's, if you're feeling wealthy.

(Rear seats and trunk space) So far the M3 fits the criteria but it is pretty tempermental like you guys stated. I am not sure if the quirks have been fixed on 05 models but the repair bill on an european car can be quite a nuisance when warranty expired.
You're right about there not being many options for you unless you want to spend $60K++. If you want that kinda of speed stock and not looking for an out right sports car, you'll have to consider MB AMG, BMW M3/M5, or Audi RS4/6 cars. I don't recall any Japanese cars availabe in the states that can do under 5 seconds 0-60 (stock) and not be classified as a sports car. Some come close but you're asking a lot from a stock car unless you have deep pockets. As for American cars, I wouldn't count on them for being reliable.

Yea that's why from time to time I come back down to M3 or G35. G35, if I can settle for something not so extreme. M3, if I don't mind the repairing cost later. Buying the car isn't an issue but I just don't like the steep repair bills.

I was going to wait out till 07 M3 but family sorte of need a car so I might give them mine and get myself another one. Of course I can just get a Mazda3 for now till the new M comes out.

Actually that may not really be true. I've talked to my local Infiniti dealerships here in Dallas and they do the Stillen and Vortech SCs. From my discussions with them, they will still warranty the car as long as they do the upgrade. The dealerships are Crest and Grubbs. I've spoken to both service depts and they confirm that the warranty will not be voided.
