Could't you buy a replacement PBS from an Infiniti Service Department that they have on the new M's? The wiring schematics for the M should now be available on the infinititech website's service manuals and should be similar to that of all the Infiniti vehicles.

Thanks. Its actually quit easy to use. Just turn your key, the button lights up, and just push the button. Its really a great spot for it, especially since I don't smoke anyways. I might be able to post a DIY. I'm waiting on a new button from Ignited to come in and I could do it then. There is some of these on Ebay that are pretty cheap.

good idea but I think unless you can bypass placing the key in the ignition like the smart key, it doesn't really make sense... you still have to put the key in there and turn it, and now you're just adding an extra step where you have to push a button... its cool but counter productive. I would rather just get a remote start system and let that be my push button start hehe...

I wonder if the smart key system on the 05 G sedans could be retrofitted... that would be ideal... at least that way you're actually making it easier for yourself where you don't have to even take out your keys...

Perhaps KPierson will come up with a solution for us.

[Begging on]
Design a Push Button Starter system for the G coupe/sedan that does not require the key, but that could also be used with the key for special occasions (Service, valet, GF/Wife, etc.).
[Begging off]

i love the idea, but would this defeat the purpose of the "computer chip security device" in our keys? it'd make car jacking a litttle more easier no?

I agree, I've done the remote start too and its a convenience. But I don't think anyone is looking to make it easier to start their cars, just something that looks cool.

wouldn't this mod then be considered rice? lol just wondering with all the people being so "rice" conscious these days lol...

as for making stealing your car easier, with this mod you still need your key in there so no it doesn't by pass the key itself... remote starters usually do that by embedding a spare key in the dash somewhere...

I would consider doing it if it actually worked like the smart key or if the button could be mounted in the gear shifter or on the steering wheel even but it would have to blend in with everything else...

Here's the link for the one from the S2000

http://handa-accessories.com/s2000-04.html

I think the light up one is better than the one from the Honda. However, this one is only 30 bucks.

Agree. Even with smart key you have to rotate the ignition - not sure even the smart key retrofit would eliminate that step.

I like 'em too. One of the things I like about the smart key is it's closer to a push button start - no keys is nice.
