I don't know if anyone has or not, but I'm almost certain that it will not be cheap, and the next question is will it be worth it.

I've been fascinated with the idea ever since I saw a Ferrari F430 documentary.

I researched it a bit more after I made the original post and found others have done it with varying results.

I still think it would be cool, especially with our exhaust!

The kit is like $ 50.00 for the PBS. Its really not a big install at all, just splicing a few wires into the ignition harness. Thats pretty much it!

Not a fan of putting it in cars that don't come with them, and besides, they are getting played out now. I loved it in my S2K though! We started the trend!

I love the one on the uber Mercedes: flip the top of the shifter to find the illuminated starter button.

I found a nice DIY guide on importmodifications.com.
If the PBS could be tastefully integrated into the center console or better yet, in the shifter , I think it would be worth it.

Here is the link to the DIY guide:

the install is a piece of cake. Did it on my other car because the ignition lock cylinder went out on me. Its the quality and placement of the starter button that is the hurdle not the actually wiring. Hell i did it on my vw with a heavy duty relay and cheap rocker switch. I hid the button low and away, you can't start the car with the key alone, you have to find the button to start it. Been like that for four years. In my opinion unless you can find a sweet looking starter button and a slick install on the dash then its a waste of money.

Looks like you can just install it in the cigarette lighter, and wire it up.

Very nice SLVRG25. Do you like it or is it a pain? How does it work? You turn the key and than just press the button?
