May be a DUMB read for most...
I'm still in the market to order the coupe in the upcoming weeks... hopefully I'll be able to order the '03 (if i order before june), but I was wondering, the coupe i want black/black 6MT w/ sunroof -no prem. is $33,745 (as stated on the infiniti website), if the additional fees (tax, title, fees, liscense, etc) is added to the total payment... for example, the car is 33,745 so after taxes, fees, etc etc (about 10% -estimated, here in So. California) it will come out to be $3374.50... So will i pay that seperately after $33,745 so that it will not be added to the interest rate, or will it be added to the total cost making it about $37,150 (making the monthly payments a little more costly)...? Does anyone understand what I'm trying to say? or is my logic very retarded? =D haha please any CORRECT AND NON-FLAMING (>=D) feedback on this would be very appreciated.. thanks to you all in advance.

You can do it either way. You can have them add the taxes into the amount you finance, or you can write them a check for the taxes and only finance the 33,745.
Basically you can finance whatever amount you want and write them a check for whatever you don't want to finance.

The interest rate is applied to however much you finance.
so your car will be 37K out the door, so whatever you put down on it, lets say you put 5K down payment, then you'd only finance 32K making your monthly payment around 600/mo. for 5 years

no problem dude!
i dont think they will be taking orders for the 2004 model yet...as far as i've heard they wont be taking any orders on their first incoming batch, just like how the 2003's were
So expect custom orders to start being taken during september or october.

but don't forget the tax break you get from a trade in.. i got a huge tax break when i traded in my last car, so the total amount taxed and financed went way down.. but if that's not an option, don't worry about it..

yeah.. they took my purchase price, subtracted the trade in, and then calculated the tax.. saved me a few thousand.. i was thinking of putting my car on the local market and see if i can get more than they quoted.. or even sell it to carmax, which offered a few hundred more than the dealer.. but that would be a down payment after taxes.. so the trade in ended beating out the quote from carmax after the tax break by quite a bit..

Same in my state (PA). The only advantage to trading in your car is that you're only taxed on the net balance of the purchase price after subtracting the allowance for your trade-in.
However, that usually only saves a few hundred dollars, compared to the thousands I usually can gain over trade in value by selling it privately. So I rarely trade-in anymore, myself.
When I ordered my G, I sold my old Acura coupe for $12k, compared to the dealer's $9k trade-in offer. Clearly, there's no way that the sales tax savings would've netted me 3-grand.

well, that's what i was thinking, but i checked out the kbb value for my car on the private market and the value as a trade in, and they actually offerred me more than the trade in value.. basically, i took it to carmax and showed them that quote and they matched it.. plus, the tax savings.. i didn't think i'd get much more than what carmax offered cuz i looked at similar vehicles on ebay and in newspapers.. it was one of those 50/50 chances.. anyway, it was a good deal in my case.. i ended up only having to finance about 2/3 of the cost of the G with my trade in.. so, not bad..
