Yeah my seats look the same, terrible. It's only the one seat though. The other three are fine, I'm checking junk yards and looking into a new seat!
Dude, refer to my other post. Don't get psycho about this and replace a seat every few months due to normal wear.

Oh and it's been two years. The other seats look still brand new.

I use a soft brush followed by a damp towel. It removed the dirt and made it all the original color.

This leather is not good period.

My seats look the same, and, although this is normal, it is quite early on to see this type of wear. I do not have confidence that these seats will look good in 100000 miles like the seats of my CLS did.

Plus, I also have used lexol on a number of occasions and it does seem that some of the leather responds better than other sections of the leather to the cleaning. I had to re-treat a number of areas because they did not look as good as the rest.

And for those of you with the fat jokes, while I am not overweight, you really show a total lack of maturity in your comments.

My CL-S looked worse with the "hairy seats"

I had the same thing happen to my seats. I'm not sure if you have the same problem as I, but it's worth a look. I found that a plastic clip, which holds the leather in place, came completely loose. This resulted in the leather shifting from left to right forming a fold every time I sit down.

If you were sitting in the seat, there are these two screws right behind your legs. Unscrew these screws and you should be able to start taking apart the plastic molding around the seat. Take off the plastic molding on the side (it all kind of connects together).

If I remember correctly, there is a this white piece of plastic about two inches long with a groove going lengthwise. This should slip onto the metal piece at the bottom of the seat. It basically pulls the leather back into place. It didn't fix it completely, but it helps. I hope this is making some sense.

"MoZilla"

If that clip is "malfunctioning" than I can bring it to Inifiniti and complain... perfect, I'll check later.

it's normal. it will happen to almost all leather interior equipped cars, unless it's like the BMW, leatherette finish. just make sure you clean and CONDITION your seats frequently.

Those marks popped up after like 50 miles on my new 05. I am pretty sure its the way people were getting in and out of my car when they wanted to "check-it-out" because I am only 5-9 135lbs.

Those bolsteres are supposedly vinyl too, so leather conditioners MIGHT help, but dont expect it to. And 99% of the time, its not the plastic clip as mentioned above, its a normality.

I have been putting conditioner on the car since Day 1, once a month. Lexol... which is apparently the best, dosen't help.

Look at your shoes or your leather jacket, I'm sure they have lines as well. Better yet, look at a vintage sports car like a Ferrari, and you will see lines even in the fine Italian leather.
I agree 100%. Every car I've owned with leather seats developed similar character lines. It's part of the natural look of leather when it wears. Leather is SUPPOSED to do this as it wears. If it didn't, that means you've got vinyl or pleather.
