the beige interior shows the fading leather color more than the black interior.

Also guys, you bought a 30-35000 car with the performance and looks of a much higher priced car. Can't be too picky when bargain shopping. Not everything is going to be perfect. If you want seats like a Mercedes or BMW, then you should have bought one of those cars. The discoloration does suck and shouldn't happen, but the lines that some are so worried about are NORMAL!!

I had my coupe for a little over a year, and my seat was folding over on the outside bolster. When I had it in for regular service, I mentioned this to my service mgr. He told me that it wasn't normal for the seat to do that...

They ordered me a new cushion and leather seat bottom. I have had it installed now for about four months, and so far no problems. I do make a habit of hopping over the bolster so I don't crush it everytime I enter and exit my car....

Here's a couple of pics of my new replacement seat....

the dealerships jack up ur seats the most. when i get my car serviced, the fatass service guy sits sideways, with both his legs sticking out of my car and takes his time writing down the mileage that i have, and gets up.

Look at your shoes or your leather jacket, I'm sure they have lines as well. Better yet, look at a vintage sports car like a Ferrari, and you will see lines even in the fine Italian leather.

Well said, people need to relax.

With that said however, I agree with others who say to avoid putting weight on the edges when entering/exiting the vehicle. It is those two times exactly where the wear shows up.

As for leather conditioner, do not over do it. Using it too much can actually lead to extra wear on the leather. It's advisable to do it a few times a year.

Guylegend, since when applying leather conditioner too often will be bad for the seats?
isn't that once a year is too long? I apply leather conditioner every month or every 2 months.

Thats wierd, I was told the bolsters are vinyl...

I live in New Jersey, the Dealership is Circle Infiniti in E. Long Branch.

The service people there are outstanding. He asked me if I wanted them to replace the passenger seat cushion as well since it had a crease in it.

I let that go, since the creasing is normal for leather. My seat actually was sagging and folded over so it had a long pleat in the side bolster. It was to the point where the seat was no longer supporting me on that side....
