Questions for other 6MT owners
Re: Questions for other 6MT owners
I haven't noticed that - at all.
In fact, what I have noticed is that the second I push in the clutch, the RPM's drop like a stone. Never had a concern that it might stall or anything like that, but it seems to drop off REALLY fast, like the engine is extremely loose (in a good way).
You might want to pay careful attention to what your right foot is doing... the gas pedal is fairly light, you may be goosing it a bit and not even realize it. Try shifting normally, but consciously pulling your right foot well off the gas before pushing the clutch in, see if that makes a difference.

Re: Questions for other 6MT owners
yeah mine does the same thing Black_mirror
I have 1600 miles on the G now.
When disengaging the clutch with the foot off the gas, the rpm will increase ever so slightly, then it will drop down.
Im guessing this has to do with the drive-by-wire throttle lag as it will get better and less laggy as you continue to rack-on the miles.

Re: Questions for other 6MT owners
I've had my 6 spd a week now. I noticed that I had to stop hitting the gas so much when I shifted. Seems like I just have to barely tap it when shifting. Haven't noticed any dropping out when shifting at all.
Re: Questions for other 6MT owners
No. mine doesn't do that. But I drive with the distinct habit of lifting off the throttle when pushing the clutch in, ordinarily. I agree with others, you're probably unconsciously blipping the throttle a little bit.

Re: Questions for other 6MT owners
I think it's the drive by wire technology guys. My brother had the same problem when he drove my G. Then he got his new DG and had the same effect. I found that he wasn't letting off the gas enough when hitting the clutch. The drive by wire seems to lag a little bit so you have to let off a little sooner that a standard throttle cable. Also I did notice that the RPMs seem to drop unnaturally fast and I think this is because it's call computerized. I don't have much issue with it except when trying to "performance" down shifts it is next to impossible to give the gas pedal a "tap" to match engine speed to the clutch for a smooth down shift. Just my .02 cents gents. Peace.
