How did this happen?
So ive had my car lowered on s-techs for 2 days now. Last night i took it out in the rain and "practiced my launches" since my stock pilots r pretty much treadless. Anyways, i walk out to my car today and noticed the paint rubbing off, wtf. As you can see, its right on the outside corner, there is no possible way my tire could be rubbing, they r the stock 18s. what could have caused this, im scared to drive on it untill i figure it out.
Hard to say.. could have been someone slightly scraped you, or even road debris.
Also, and this is just a wild guess, if you had your wheel turned, it would have been sticking out of the fender.. and if you had hit a bump while it was like that, it could have rubbed. I know it only seems to be on the outside, but if you were moving forward, the tire would have been scraping against that side, since that would be the direction the tire was moving against a hard edge. Once it made contact, the tire would flex, and not put much pressure the rest of the way through the fender.
Hey, its a theory
*edit* actually, I cant even tell if thats the front or the back of the car, so maybe I'm way off

Thats a guaranteed fender bender. If you look closesly at the first picture, above the obvious scrap, there is a series of finitie scratches which are the case when someone backs into you, but not too hard. Happened to me on my black car and looks the same way. I put my life on it someone backed into while you were parked on a street or something. It's def a "T" style accident.

I've had S-techs for the 350Z (1" drop) for 1 year and I've never seen that on my car. My Dunlop M3 winters with the extra tread on my stock 18s barely and I mean barely make it out of the front wheel wells when the wheel in turned, but I've never rubbed. Looks like someone hit you.

Not even a chance in hell....
thanks for all your help, it is actually the rear drivers side, but i found out how it got there. The problem is a safeway cart collector. long story but ima keep it short. yesterday arounf 7, me and my boy with a gsx-r 600 did a lil photo shoot, not damage to the fender at that time. Around 10, me, my boy and 2 gilrs roll to safeway, where my boys friend is collecting carts in the parking lot. i know the kid and were r pretty cool, well, we were pretty cool. We go inside to buy some brew, it was my 21st b-day. Come outside and hes just comming in, doesnt look at any of us or say peace. Didnt notice any scratch that night it was dark. My car goes home and into the garage for the night. Next day i come out and this scratch appears. I inspect and notice that there is damage to my rim on 2 of the spokes, looks like burgandy paint. me and my boy try to think of how it got there, we came to the conclusion that this kid is very jealous and ran a cart into my sh*t. Sounds kind of random, but check this: The burgandy paint on the rim, which is gouged deep to the matal, was actually rust. We got a shopping cart and lined it up against my ride, the lower bar on the carts are all scraped up and rusted, exactly the same height of the damage to the rim, funny. second, the basket has a little lip that is at the exact height of where it damaged my fender, now im pissed. safeway boy is a jealous *****. Im either gonna go talk to him and threaten legal issues, or just beat the sh*t out of him, what should i do. i know i dont have any evidence he did it, but ima lie my *** off and say i had a freind in a car waiting for me who saw it all and got sum pics with his phone, i really dont know what to do, its gonna rust and i dont care too much bout my rim, cuz i got 19s in my garage ima throw on any day now, but im sooo pissed.
I would try to get him fired. Talk to his manager say Safeway is responsible for it's employees actions while they're at work. They should pay for damage if you can prove it. Threaten to go to the corporate level if necessary. Be professional, to the point and don't act like someone who just turned 21. Getting him fired would have a greater impact than kicking his a$$ .
