In the end i think we all have to agree that the benifits of owning the car far far outweigh the costs.

about the radio, it isnt really the antenna's fault. and just because mercedes doesnt do it, that doesnt mean its garbage. Audi's have in the window, so do porsches, and they work fine. you have to realize that not all stations/cities/radio station antennas are good for reception, it may have absolutely nothing to do with your car.

also, people get brembos, and complain that its crap because of all the brake dust. its not the caliper...its the brake pad..try switching those instead to something else....

on the same topic, having a "low brake pad" light means putting a sensor in the caliper [big$] and when the sensor goes off, its actually damaged....ie- in old porsches, when the sensor came on, you replaced the pads AND the sensor...that would start a gigantic cycle of complaints.

i think that for the price of the car, the performance, styling, and luxury you get is a good deal....just my $0.02 though.

Older models like my 96' I30t has it...I guess they save money that way for not doing it anymore.

I test drove the S2000 and it has it, not even in the luxury segment

i guess all of the gas doors are manual to one extent or another you can push a button inside the car or you can push on the edge of the gas door to have it open. I think that infiniti made a good choice on the gas door. All you need to do is remember to have you doors unlocked when the attendant goes to put the gas in.

What is this you're referring to exactly? The auto dimming rear view mirror?

Anybody notice how dark it is in the trunk when you close it? What's THAT all about? What a piece of crap, I'm taking it back.

i think it goes pretty with any coupes. i currently have a 04 civic 2dr coupe, (hopefully will have a g35 coupe/sedan by august ish) but i have the same problems as well, and also it have to push myself out sumtimes when i want to get out.

I really dislike the these issues with the civic so most likely will draw me toward the sedan over the coupe =X even tho the coupe looks soo god damn sexay!

Man, I had the same problems with my 2002 Mustang GT premium that was loaded for $24,000 out the door. The leather was starting to crack, rattles, creaks, road noise, material quality and feel, etc, etc. Improved vehicle quality is a major reason I decided to get a G coupe. Other than looks, improved status, and slightly improved interior, What am I getting for about $10,000 more? The Mustang was quick, sounded awesome, and got looks too.

You're right about that. Cost is nothing I really considered because brakes were covered under my warranty when i had the bimmer.

The same guys that will get on here and ask for additional luxury features and sound deadening out of one side of their mouth will complain about price/weight/performance/gas mileage out of the other. There's constructive criticism, and then there's thoughtless whining. It's just too easy to get on the Internet and start bitching and get the whole group-think thing going. Then, because the squeaky wheel gets the grease, Infiniti starts building a bunch of boring Lexus clones instead of the spirited sporty cars they're known for. That's what killed the original Z car and now, after everyone got so excited about price/performance when it was re-released, the luxury whine-cycle is beginning all over again. It just amazes me that you'd buy a car for what it is and then try to change it into something that you weren't willing to plunk down your hard-earned dough for in the first place. The seatbelts in the Mercedes may have a better design, but I doubt you'd be willing to pay the price increase it would take to have them designed and built that way in the G in order to solve the "problem". Same with door hinges. Nothing comes free, one of the reasons a Benz costs (and weighs) what it does. I understand that feedback helps improve the breed, but just consider that there's a big group of folks at the factory who put thought into each piece that goes into the car before it rolls out the door. And just maybe some us should do the same before we start trying to give expert advice to people who build cars for a living. Happens on every forum.
BTW, my wife's FX, which not only has shorter doors but also sits much higher off the ground, has shoe scuffs on the door panel. That isn't a CAR problem, it's a foot-leg-brain problem.

Amen!
