Re: Brembo Caliper

It will be expensive, and it isn't as easy as just putting on a new caliper. You practically need the entire braking system - new rotors all around, new calipers all around, possibly a new proportioning valve etc., and possibly other electronic components related to ABS, VDC, etc.

Re: Brembo Caliper

heh, well put todd.
everyone in my family was pushing me to get the auto, so i was split between the man. and auto, then i realized that the auto didnt come with the brembos/18's base, so my decision was clear after that

my estimate is that parts will cost you $5000 and installation around $500, Good Luck. You might be better off trading in your auto and getting a 6spd.

StopTech has 14" slotted disc brakes for the front and 13" slotted disc brakes for the G35.</p>

Re: Brembo Caliper

If you want to save money, StopTech should offer a kit for the front only that preserves the front-to-rear bias, eliminating the need for a rear big-brake kit.

Don't take my word for it:

There is an auction on eBay right now with Brembo calipers, rotors, and lines. It is off of a wrecked car. YOu should check it out.
