330ci? FX35? g35coupe?
Did anyone think of those cars when you were in the market?
I am now really confused to choose between those. I test drove all and finally came up with those. For overall price and performance, i think those are really similar.
Why did you guyz choose to get g35c instead of other cars?
what's your intention? what did you feel disappoinment in g35c?
I know this is kind of "REPOSTING" thread but since I feel really confused and need some help, let me know what you folks think.

Re: 330ci? FX35? g35coupe?
I never considered a SUV or the FX35. I wanted a 2dr Coupe and had to have a V6 engine (just came off a high reving S2000). I looked at several cars including:
BMW 330ci
Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT
Acura CL-S 6MT
Honda Accord Coupe 6MT
That being said, the 330ci was way out of the price range at 42k, and IMO no value for all that money. I would have conisdered the M3, but that was 10k more. Inifiniti was the nicest in the price range (30-35k). The CL-S was too plain, front wheel drive and this is the last year of production. The Accord had a real good bang for the buck at 26k, very nice interior, but no sportyness in that one.
So we narrowed down the list to the G35, CL-S, and Accord. We test drove the G35 first and was sold. We bought one right there, no waiting. The Coupe attracts an older crowd for attention compared to my S2000 which may be a good/bad thing. Good in the sense young kids aren't too interested in it, bad because I feel like I'm getting old! In the end, my wife and I are very happy with our choice. The dealership has been more than great, and our salesman was the best. This was the best new car buying experience ever, period!

Re: 330ci? FX35? g35coupe?
I have a '01 330ci and a G35c. I have been driving the 330ci for the past few days and I totally miss my g35c. It just doesn't have the sporty feel as the g.
The 5 speed on the BMW has VERY long throws and I have trouble driving it after the G. I do feel lower to the ground when in the 330ci and it does have a smoother ride (w/ sport pckg.). I prefer the sportier ride in the G35 and it seems to have less body roll.
The 330ci does have a few more features such as memory seats, auto-door locks, parking distance control, turn-down passenger mirror.....but I paid almost 6k more for the BMW so the G35c is a good deal.
Overall if I had to choose between the 2, I would choose the G35c.
The Acura, never driven it and really the styling doesn't make me feel like I want to. The Accord just seems to get uglier as the years go by....but it is a good value.

Re: 330ci? FX35? g35coupe?
I cross-shopped the Audi A4 (incl. cabriolet), BMW 330Ci, Lexus IS300, and even the M3. The 330 was nice, but not as fun. The A4 had great interior and luxury feel, but I'm not sure I trust its reliability and even the 3.0 is somewhat underpowered. The IS300 was just too underpowered, had a harsh ride, and was too bland. The only car that I factored in price for was the M3, and it was the main reason I didn't go with it - I could not justify the extra 20k. But I paid ~40k (with extended warranty and every avail. option) for my G, so price wasn't really a factor in comparing vs the 330, A4, or IS300 - I just plain enjoyed driving the G more.
I picked the G over these 3 cars purely because I enjoyed driving it more. The incredible engine, rock solid suspension, gorgeous styling and overall visceral driving experience blew the others away for me. I wondered what it would be like to have gone with the Bimmer or something but every time I drive in my friend's 330i, even though he got the performance package (//M tuning, suspension), it's just boring in comparison.
