I dont know why, but I just cant stand those darn body side moldings on Gs.. the ones that are meant to protect you from dings or whatever. I think it just totally kills the smooth look of the car, destroys the lines. Am I crazy or what?

I have the body side moldings on my 04 Coupe. They were on the car when I bought it. I think they look fine...

I actually think they make the coupe look better IMO. I dont have them but I kind of wish I did. I dont have any dings (thank god) but I dunno.. Just my $.02

I have them on my coupe currently but i'm still debating on whether i want to remove them or not.

I don't dislike them at all, but i'm just up in the air of how they will look after i install front/rear splash guards and the oem front lip. Still not sure at all.

With that said, i think the coupe still looks stunning with them or without.

I think they look okay. They are not on the car I think I'm getting but I've debated adding them. To me the question is how useful they really are. Would love to hear opinions on that.

I think it depends. If an SUV parked next to you, those moldings will not help because of the height of those doors. I put mine on, b/c dings can drive me nuts and are expensive to remove (45/ding). Over the lifetime of the car, the moldings are nice insurance. That huge door of the G is one large piece of real estate to remain ding free IMO.

Only if you listen to Barry Manilow records

I agree with you, I don't like they look either.

i believe the way it looks (kinda bad) definitely outweighs the small amount of protection they may provide to ur doors. plus they mess with the sexy lines of the car. i vote no. vote or die biatches

They look OK but I think they're too thin to actually protect very much.

I originally didn't want the body side molding on mine, but after seeing it on my red coupe, its grown on me. Something about the 19" wheels makes it look better to me...but I dunno.

I've seen them on a black 05 G, and they look pretty good. I opted to not get them after going back and forth on the issue with my salesman (for like a week). I figure it's easier to add them later than take them off?.. I think color of the car and whether you have the aero package and spoiler plays into it too.... my .02 cents...
