Hear of anyone selling G for annoyances?

I've never bought a car on my own before, so I'm very tenative about this purchase. I'm reading about clutch chatter and I'm worried about it. Is this problem something that could drive someone to want to sell the car? I'm going to be leasing and will be locked into whatever I buy for 3.5 to 4 years so I don't want to regret my purchase. I'm also trying to decide if I should save some $$ and buy a Z instead...

Please alleviate my fears about the G and tell me how wonderful your car is etc!

I've never had to get a car serviced for problems as much as this one. It will be it's downfall for me.

i know the jitters you are going thru.
you bascially want to test the water before jumping in.

frankly, this car does not have any documented major issues (touch wood).
as for the minor ones, they exist like in any car. you have the window rattle, plastic knocks etc. etc. but that should not drive you away from a car purchase.

further more the G35c (Z included) have got really good residual and/or resale values.
good residual works in your favour as you are leasing, the higher the residual the lesser you will pay per month.

In many markets infiniti is having good finance rate (incentives) why not just finance for 60 months at a good rate (2.9% in north east) instead of leasing for 4 years. It might increase your monthly payments a little, but you can end up owning the car.

My advice to friends and all is to lease for a max. period of 36 months... beyond that you should strongly consider financing.

However I have leased for 27 months.

IMHO, the problem with forums like these is you tend to hear only about problems. I'm not saying that these people are lying or anything, but I don't think it's necessarily the norm. I have 7,500 miles on mine and I haven't had any problems whatsoever. Granted, it's pretty low miles, but I have 3 friends with excesses of 20k and 30k, and none of them have had any of the problems experienced by other people on this board. I mean, I haven't even heard any rattle constantly mentioned on this forum. OK. actually, I *did* hear a rattle, but it turned out to be my sunglasses in the sunglass holder!!

I have 2500 miles on my car. I've had it for 2 months and I'm thinking about selling it.

The rattles are freakin driving me crazy. I took it to the dealer and the part they need to order isn't coming until June for one of the rattles. It rattles in the front, back, navi area, left air conditioner vent.

Another problem is putting in gas. Everytime I try to fill up the tank I get a click every 50 cents. I try and move the gas pump in different directions and still get the same thing.

Another problem I had is with the Bose stereo. They are replacing it for me because it doesn't keep it's settings.

I'm hoping all these problems get fixed really soon. If not I'm going to take a loss and sell it.

I had a Lexus IS 300 before and never had a single problem or rattle.

other than I think the car has too much road noise (which I am dealing with right now by adding some sound damping) It has been an absolutely great car.

I have an '05 11k miles on it, and I drive the **** out of it - 0 issues !!!!

I suspect the guys with problems may have '03' or early '04's and it is pretty common with any early version of a new car to have issues.

I love it, absolutely love it

I have a very early 03 coupe. If I had not done the custome stereo I would be walking, no, running away. I like the car enough but not the hassels I have been through and the drive train lag that makes it seem like i don't know how to drive a clutch is ridiculous. can't turn the F'ing heat off!!!! Current dealer ik OK but total Infiiti (including the 800 number)experirnce has been leass then Toyota and can't touch Subaru except no loaner.Has anybody mentioned rattles???? Whats for dinner? Tires...

To those that haven't had issues more power to you, those that have know what I am talking about, especially Consumer affairs...
