Hey guys im new to the forum and need your help...

Hey guys my name is nat and im new to the forums. I may not have a g yet but surfing this forum alot and looking at all the topics and pictures I am very interested. I am turning 18 next week and I am still in high school going on to my senior year next year. My dad said he would get me the g coupe for my birthday as I don't have a car yet. I need your help on like how to get the car package. I am going to get it stick even though I have never droven stick in my life. I am getting stick because you guys say this car is way more fun in stick rather than auto. I would like to know though like for the system I should replace the bose asap because I hear from alot of you that it sounds messed up and the bass and treble keeps resetting. I should put after market stuff on after I purchase it? What mods should I do to the car as in exhaust, intake, and etc. Any nice rims or body kit you guys prefer. I am considering getting black/graphite smoke overlays. Any good information on buying this car is greatly appreciated sorry for such the long post just needed help and wanted to introduce myself to the forum. Well that's about it and I'm very glad to join you guys soon

Hey, welcome to the board.

dad's is getting you a G huh. Your one lucky bastard. If your getting a stick, i recommend practicing with some old car first before trying to drive the new one.

about the upgrades, don't worry about it. unless your dad will gladly shell out 2g's on a nice system, and another grand on basic mods. good luck saving.

btw. if this is your first car, try not to crash it.

Dude, I recommend buying a POS old civic or something to learn on. Unless cash is no object (seems like it isn't in many posts these days), you probably don't want to screw up a $35+000 car. Man, I've worked my a$$ off for my entire life, saving, and sacrificing in order to afford stuff like this, and kids are getting cars like this for grad presents? My parents still have never owned a car more expensive than $32K. If this is your starter car, what is your car goal? A Lambo or Ferrarri perhaps? Am I jealous? Hell yes!

Anyway, welcome to the board.

Good luck with your car dude, carefull with the gas on the 6spd if its your first car in manual, and 5 grand is not much to spend on this car. Some nice wheels and tires will cost you somewhere around $3,000-$6,000 and you dont want to put some cheap wheels on it, most of the exhaust systems are like $1,000 and more. Remember its not a civic

I can be polite too:

"PLEASE post pics when you wreck it..."

18 year old + first stick shift + sporty car = *smash*

dude, I just turned 20, bought my car 2 months ago, its all stock now but im working on it, and I get so many stares from people its crazy, so i would probably buy some rims first the car is fast as is and you wont wanna listen to the music much cause the car sounds so good. Im getting some 20 inch volks gt-c and some brembos 15inch rotors 4 piston calipers front and back that should look nice, since 05's dont come with brembos. Plus the originals are too small. So probably get some rims dude, plus a wider wheel in the back will be safer for you. More grip, your friends will be so pissed at you, and all the old guys will give you this stare its so funny.

Not to be Mr. Negative, but when I was 16 back in 1988, my dad bought me a 1986 Vette for my first car.....I crashed it two weeks later.

I would not worry about changing the entire stereo system unless you plan on showing the car....buy some nice rims and tires $3500-$4500 and take $600 to buy a good amp and subwoofer. That's what I have and it sounds great! Anyway, when you are driving people can't see what type of stereo you have, but they can hear it. They will see your bad azz rims though
