question about oil change schedule for leased car

i had my first oil changed around 2200 miles, now i'm approaching the recommended oil change mileage of 3750, do i have to do another oil change at that time just because the book says so? because i don't want to have any hassel for not following the maintenence schedule when i turn my car in.

just ask the service dept. to stamp it off for you in your book.

I don't think they check or care about stuff like that. They look at mileage and visual condition of the car.

they might not check for these things... but as you own/lease the car it should be your duty to follow the service guidelines which is stated in the manual.

On a lease...I'd change it every 27,000 miles

i did follow the guideline, i did the first oil change three months after i got the car which is what it says in the book, 3750 miles or 3 months whichever comes first. question here is do i have to do it again when my car hit 3750 miles.

No... you dont need to do it again... since your last change follow the guidlines again for 3months or 3750.

Example:
If you changed your oil at 2200 miles and at this time your oil was 3 months old... you dont need to change it at 3750.... you will need to do once the oil is 3 months old or at 5950 (2200+3750).

lol... you would ideally want to do that ... but if they see you havent done the scheduled service/maintainance as per the book... be ready for some hefty penalties/charges...

Not really, I just turned in my lease about 2 months ago....never did a scheduled service or maintenance at all Most of the stuff I can do myself and just cost a few dollars. When the lady came out to check my car she said they only care about non-normal wear and tear. I had a good size dent on my passenger side with scratches and I didn't pay a penny.
