Front lip spoiler make diffusers useless?

Front lip spoiler make diffusers useless?
Really love the look of the OEM front lip. My car has the diffusers, and the more I look at the lower front design of the car, the more I become convinced that the lip spoiler will not allow the diffusers to do their job. Am I seeing this right?
