since this is a fairly new model i also think they made it virtually impossible to watch dvd's unless your car is at a complete stop (speed sensor now rather than brake wire, which could be grounded)... i can watch dvd's while driving

it retailed for around $2400 when i bought it but got it for $1800... the total investment was around $2500 and i still have steering wheel controls

Ferrari, where are you from?? PM me the info if you dont want the whole world to know...
what all did you have to purchase in order to do the double din conversion?? is it a must that you have to swap out your AC controls.... how was it wired back into your steering wheel.???? thanks!!!

GRider35c,

Were you still able to use the stock speakers and amps or do you have to upgrade those also??

Yes, the DD conversion requires new climate controls.

I thought the same at first, but I don't see the point in this type of setup because you can't use the stock radio anyways. I was going to try this method, but I didn't want to have a useless radio taking up my entire center dash.

double din finisher and A/C controller, dont need the bracket cause your car already has one...

pac-interface swi-x lets you use the steering wheel controls... it acts as a remote control from the steering wheel to the headunit, as long as your headunit can accept remote controls...

Any other place in the US to order the double din kit? It takes 2 weeks to order from j-garage. Seems like Grubbs only carries 04 kits.
