I'm driving thru from Little Rock this weekend... No way I'm parking the G in FQ tho. No valets for the G! Also, driving pretty late and dont want to tag any road kill, so we'll be in our Pathfinder. But I'd so much rather be in the G for a road trip like that.

 

We really needa have a meet or sumthin

I just got my IP coupe Saturday and I'm thrilled!

By the way Tim nice story--- I work for Shell and there are thousands of Shell employees in New Orleans, convenient eh.

So if there is ever going to be a meet, I live in the Garden District but I don't have a problem taking a little cruise down I-10 a ways.

 

We were looking at property with our extra time in NO, my wife wants to move there. We found west Magazine to south Carrollton (kinda that whole corner) looked pretty nice. Not too expensive, swanky in spots, good mix of incomes, eclectic shops. It didnt look very G friendly tho. Lots of tight street parking and uneven roads. The major roads looked ok, but the older areas looked rough for a low car. Looks hit or miss for garages on those homes.

 

Good synopsis of the area I live in. look for off-street gated lots.

 

So when and where would everyone be trying to meet up?????

Well, there are many lots and hotels that will rent you a space for $60 a month or so. My apartment building has its own lot that I get to park in. But if I let someone use my spot I have to park on the street. Sure it will get a few scuffs on the front bumper when I do it, but I'll simply get a respray in a little bit.

Remember guys, its just a car, and driving one in New Orleans virtually guarantees that something uncool will happen to it, just try not to sweat the small stuff!

 

By the way, for all of those who purchased through Ray Brandt, how has your experience been dealing with them so far?

Before I bought this car on my own, my father had purchased 3 previous cars from them(pre-Ray Brandt) and has had ZERO problems with them whatsoever.

In fact, he still gets free services from time to time on cars that have been out of warranty!
