I wanna buy an after market xm unit(not sure which 1) i want to be able to play it at home as well as in my car. Does ne1 know which 1 is good and if there are ne kits that can hook directly into my car ( maybe even use the sat button on my radio)....

You won't be able to use the sat button with an aftermarket unit. I would check over at www.xmfan.com, someone there should be able to point you in the right direction....

I'd go with the OEM Sirius tuner, then you can listen to it online with a membership from any PC in the world as part of the included service. I believe XM has this feature as well. Nothing to lug around either.

Without an OEM tuner, you cannot use the SAT button.

You can go with a SKYFI2 tuner, it is larger than others, but it has more features. You will have to buy a the xm car kit to install and listen to it through the built in FM modulator. You can possibly use an adapter that directly wires to your tuner through the antenna, but I don't know if the adapter is made for our cars. The best (besides OEM) connection is using the tape deck adaptor. If you go to XM411.com and PM a guy named ZIGGY, he can direct you to what you need. He has lightning fast delivery, and doesn't overcharge you.
