Depends on how much your rims weigh.

If the overall diameters are the same for your bro's and your 20's then it comes down to weight difference. If his are lighter then he'll have the edge. But the cars are so close it prolly comes down to drivers and their weight diffs, reactions, and the like......

Re: Sam's G35 Coupe Sucks

I'd say your car is a lot slower. The weight your 20's are at best 30 lbs. Your losing speed/power because the extra work required to turn the heavier rim. Remeber that the wheels are being spun from the center hub, so the tranny does not have the advantage of leverage to spin the wheels. Adding 10 lbs to each wheel can show a lost of more than 20 hp on the Dynojet. Just like how replaceing a underdrive pulley with a lighter one adds HP. Add weight anywhere in the drivetrain robs HP. HP at the Fly and HP at he wheels are to different numbers. It's hard to explain.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. The real question is whose car looks better? If you wanna win drag races, go get a Z28, if you wanna ride in style, get a G....maybe you could beat him if you went on a diet, you know, enough to offset the weight difference of the wheels!

Re: Sam's G35 Coupe Sucks

the best rim size depending on the size of the car is 17 or 18..depends on width, weight etc, the g's are proably the best at 18 because there is less weight and its comes down to basic physics, its easier to spin a smaller and lighter object faster
