Most popular uses for manumatic on 5AT's

Just wondering when people find themselves using manumatic mode the most on their 5AT's.

I hate to admit it but I find I use it most to hold that sweet spot in the exhaust note around 3500 rpms when driving around town to maximize head-turning exposure

How about you?

i don't own a g35 but i use the 5at manumatic in my tsx just to get the car moving when i have passengers....haha car is great but even 1 passenger kills the ride gotta get me a g35 soon and it won't matter if i have more than enough power to carry more weight. not gonna let anyone in or near my car...unless they're hot. hahaha

i hardly use it... if my intent was to use the manumatic more frequently i would have just got the manual.

but i like the exhaust note idea for head turning!

I use it when I am thumping it, as I have more control.
I use it on the freeway if I am at 70 - 80 MPH and want to pass, I goto MM, drop from 4th to 3rd and thump it - takes off like a rocket.

Prior to buying the G, I owned a Dodge Stratus R/T with autostick (everyone has to start somewhere). I used the MM all the time in order to get more response from the 200hp engine which was hooked to only a 4 speed transmission (not that it worked). Now, with the G, I almost never use it. The auto is just so responsive that I can be lazy and not use the MM. But I do occasionally use it in my neighborhood to maximize the exhaust note without speeding. I guess we think alike in that respect.

Coolnesh: the sound with the stillen at about 2k is annoying.. to be honest. It is quiet at idle, and sounds fine elsewhere. 2k is the 'drone'...
It is actually one of my projects. The stillen exhaust has two removable sections about a foot long (I think they use the same exhaust kit for the Z - so these are extenders for the G) I am going to have to custom make some glass packs to go in there and quiet it a bit more. I actually prefer quiet - i just want the power.

As to the mods in general... I guess it is just the sickness... I never intended to do anything when I bought the car, but....

Also to get some more power on the highway.

Hold gear when entering a curve & through its exit. Being able to toss this car on a perfect line is heaven.
