g35C splash guards??

Hi. I went to the dealership to inquire the coupe. I noticed there were these clear plastic patches at the rear of fenders. I was wondering if THESE were some kind of splash guards.. or the splash guards were plastic pieces underneath the fenders like those of the sedan.

Those were put there by Inifiniti when it was found that the lower valences were getting nicked with small pebbles/sand.
