Buy Used Or Wait 'til Next Year

What up fam? I am new to site but not to the game. I am in a situation and need someone else's opinion, here goes:

I am in the military living in Italy right now. I can either buy an Inf G now or wait until next year. However next year I am getting out, to go to ROTC(to become an officer) and possibly finish grad school (2years). It so hard to maintain until next year....and you cats don't make it any easier with these fly a$$ rides. Also if I get it now, it will be at my parents spot and I will have reduced the principal by a year. Holla back!!!! 1

I'd would wait til next year get a newer model with improvements. I have an 04 Coupe and if I wasn't so anxious to buy it I could've bought an 05 instead. I didn't want to wait six months, and well now im kinda regretting it.

i would advice you to wait till next year.
as you wont be using the car even if you bought it now.
a car is one of the worst investments ... use the money you would have spent on the car and put that in a high yeilding interest a/c for a year.

go for the new car, seriously.

You've gotta wait till next year...maybe the next year model's going to be refreshed. Improvements, updates, and maybe a little less money spent (The G's gonna be a 4 year old car). New is always better! What branch of the military are you from?

pdaplaya - as you mentioned you are in Italy, so not sure if you have the flexibility to invest in the US.

From what I know the US market's interest rates are from 3% in a savings account up to 4% in a Fixed deposit for a year. So the yeild is not too good.
However, explore the Italian market. I am sure you can get better interest rates there. I would assume 4%+ for sure. Ask you bank or collegues.

If I come accross something on the net, I will post it here or email you.

hmmm, is infiniti even changing the G35 for '06? yeah, i know, it's nearly a 4-year old car, but considering the refreshening they did this year, i dunno. i'd think for cost reasons they'd wait at least until '07 (2 years from last update) or just wait till the all-new, next-gen G hits the streets (either '07 or '08?). i think if they do any updates (esp. considering when Lexus finally releases the supposedly 300+hp '06 Lexus IS350), it'll probably be limited to horsepower increases, minor if any. but then again an un-updated G may not fare too well against the '06 IS and the new '06 BMW E90 (3-series).
