Just curious
Last night I was driving home from my office and driving at about 40mph on a straight road. Heres the thing I was on the far left lane about to pass this vehicle in the right lane and I see in the corner of my eye this car barrelling over into my lane about to strike me on my right side.... luckly there was a turning space in between the median of the four lane rd. so I im talking slammed on my brakes and jerked the hell out of my steering wheel to the left and came to a complete stop. Scared the sh** out of me, but when I pressed really hard on the brakes I kind of heard a popping sound during the braking because it was so fast, my question is was this the sound of the ABS system kicking in or did I damage something by slamming so hard? Man I had some quick reflexes to get out of his way. Thanks for your input just kind of worried.
