176 in my 90 Mustang GT on Highway 101 heading down to San Luis Obispo at about 11 pm.

 

I hit 147 on my g when it had a vortech on.....had more, but I didn't. It was getting a little scary.

 

145 in my G, 153 on my bike

 

140 in an 04 c230 kompressor

 

110...wont do it ever again, not worth it

 

I don't mind going fast, but the highways are not maintained well enough to warrant 140 mph run.
No reason to take my life on me hoping that the highway is clean and the next pot hole is not that deep.
Guys please don't risk your lives on a freeway to test the speed of your car. I'd hate to see another member pay for a split-second decision.

 

I've been 192 mph in a slightly tuned Audi RS4... ran out of room so I had to shut it down....

crazy how fast some of you have gone.. all it takes is a bump in the road and its over... or like that 350Z in the silver state that blew a tire... that thing rolled and tumbled for half a mile maybe...

ive done 120 in the G, didnt feel scary at all.
i almost got pulled over today when i was going about 85 on the freeway. bastard trooper kept following me for like 10 minutes, but i stood calm at about 65. i hear they get pissed if you're speeding, and right when you see the cop you slam the brakes, so i didnt do that, i just put it in neutral until it slowed down by itself. my cousin who was in the car at the time reached over and beeped the horn a couple times and gave him the finger as he took the next exit. HAHA funniest thing ever

 

Isnt anything over 100mph on the street classified as a federal offense..

mc2 your right though when I was younger I had been driving from elpaso texas to dallas of course late at night going about 90 cause I wanted to get home.. Going that fast at night pretty stupid. All of a sudden I seen an animal in the middle of the road swerved to miss it (First mistake) counter corrected and the back end swung around then I found myself doing 90mph in reverse and flew off the road down an embankment.. Luckily the car didnt flip..

I tell you it was a rude awakening, going that fast anything can happen. People may think they are a good driver and in control but at those speeds being a good driver means nothing and you have no control over other objects.

You better hope your prepared for the consequenses if you do go that fast

The same 300ZXTT I did some crazy speed in. This is 3 days after I bought and hit a deer. No I wasnt going that fast I was only going 60mph and thank god I was because I barely enough time to slow it down to 30 before hitting the deer...

Oh yeah you dont have to speed to kill (I'm almost sure I killed that deer that night)

 

it's nuts, if your going 140 and everyone else is going 70. If you hit someone it's still liek hitting them at 70 plus the tumble you take to get to 0 after you hit them.

 

OT but i love the 300ZX.

Live is too fragile. I try not to drive any faster than 85 even when i feel its safe. Maybe i'm TOO safe.

I love the G for its shove you in the seat acceleration and excellent handling. I dont care about its top speed too much and i dont get too much out of going that fast instead of endangering myself and others.

But thats just me. I have gone 120 once before in my Turbo MR2. It was when i was much younger.. About 4 years younger (I'm only 23 now) and it was my first car. There was a 300ZX all over my *** so i just dropped into 4th and cut accross 4 lanes at once and took off. We ended up hitting 120 before i had to exit. The front end got very floaty. Scary if you ask me.

 

Yeah actually I seen 3guys on bike's doing that..
Although I dont know how fast they were going they zummed by me like I was standing still. My guess is they were going about 130 I was doing 80. They were weaving in and out of traffic.

I was like man someone is going to get hurt.. Sure enough I watched one of them hit the back of a car fly up on the car then get ran over by his bike. Bad thing is I'm sure he was the least experienced of the 3 just showing off for his friends (Yeah I can keep up) Uggh.. What a way to price to pay..

I have no clue wether or not the guy lived but from the way it looked I'm sure it would have taken a miracle if he didnt die.

 

maxing out is such a waste of gas, but going with the theme i have gone 156 in my friends 350Z and 153 in my G, i now have a radar and i've hit 120 on a local street multiple times. the max speeds were in south kansas city on 69 highway after 175th street if anyone lives there before. and i've maxed out a camry as well, 125 lol. but i dont plan on it again.
