Thanks for the welcome, and hello to Sarcasmo, who I know from the WRX world and from 'br0tland...

Don't have any mods planned, yet. I want to do A LOT of reading before I even think about it, given the amount of money I just shelled out. I don't think I want to risk the warranty, or do something substandard to such a nice vehicle.

I'm in Charlotte, NC, to the Raleigh person, and got my car at Lake Norman Infiniti. I was very pleased with the attitude, though they were only willing to budge by $1000 on sticker. (and I worked at it for a while...)

I will definitely learn how to properly detail this thing; thanks for the tip on the forum.

How the "loss of power" reality check kicking in?
Really tough to compare this car to my VF34 WRX. The torque curves could hardly be more different. The G feels like it has torque at 2000rpms, where things didn't really get exciting in the WRX 'til 4000 or so. In 1st and 2nd, I feel like my WRX delivered more pull; in higher gears I think gearing and displacement make the G stand out. I'm TRYING to adhere to the breakin schedule, so I haven't really felt what it can do, yet. I'm trying to convince myself that the stock power is enough. Wish me luck at that...

Oh, and I might do the tint thing. All out of money at the moment, so it may have to wait a while...

Also, in case you haven't read about this yet, you may want to look into a clear bra for your new G. Lots of info on here to be found using Search function.

Rayfield.... I certainly hope you didn't spend all of your money on the car and have to live in that trailer in pic #2 ?!?

Congrats on the ride, mine made it off the boat in Cali and is on the way to my dealer.

Heh, I was waiting for a comment about North Carolina trailer trash. That just happened to be near the place where I was able to grab some quick shots.

I've been on forums for some time, so I'm definitely familiar with the protocols of searching before asking. At ClubWRX, we get the same 4 questions by n00bs OVER..AND OVER...AND OVER......

Welcome to the forum and to the G. Question, why does your car look high (wheel gaps)? Is it just an optical illusion, or...? Did you get the sport suspension package and does that package lower the ride height? Just curious, because my wheel gaps are nearly non-existent.

I noticed the gaps in the pics, too. The road the car is parked on was a bit of a curve, with the apex at the center of the road. So the car is actually sitting on a little bit of a hill. I think that explains it, because I don't see wheel gaps like that when it's parked in my garage.

Congrats on your purchase! I haven't been this viscerally attached to a new car purchase since my first one out of college 15 years ago. I literally go out in the garage at night just to look at the car. Guess that's silly, hunh...?
