Which Back looks best?
Re: Which Back looks best?
The emblems are mounted with a sticky foam tape of some type. Not many many manufacturers actually drill mount or glue the them on anymore. It's really easy to do. All you need is some floss, a hair dryer, and a can of Goof-off or some other paint friendly cleaning solution. You just use the hair dryer on high runing it back and forth over the emblems till they become hot. This makes the sticky tape under the letter more viscous. Then you just take the floss and run it between the emblem and the surface in a little "sawing" motion. The emblems should just pop off. After that use the cleaning solution to remove any tape or glue residue. I suggest after that it is done that you use a cleaner wax and then rewax the area. There ya go!. RedRok,
I like the clean look of it being completely debadged as well (except the Infiniti logo of course).
Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I had mine debadged by the dealer, at a cost of about 30 bucks - I figured it was worth the peace of mind that comes from knowing that if they screwed it up, they'd be responsible to repaint the trunk!
