Weekend at the track (pics)

We had a great time.Derek - you didn't tell me about the 'Z Zone' at Road America!?!? What's that about man?
P Diddy - I am using a Tein Flex coilover kit with stiffer polyurethane bushings replacing the stock ones on the stock sway bars. I believe I was running a '10' setting on the front springs and a '15' setting on the EDFC most of the weekend (on a 0-to-32 scale, lesser means a more stiff spring rating.) I was getting compliments from everyone who rode in or saw the coupe handle - it is truly well-balanced after my tuner (Team Noble Racing) had it corner-weighted.
I'll be trying even stiffer settings (maybe '5' for the front, '10' for the rear) for smaller, more technical courses coming up like Blackhawk Farms and the Autobahn Country Club. I didn't want to set it up too stiff for such a fast course as Road America just yet - maybe I'll be ready for that demanding a setting next year.

Great pics, Derek. I so wanted to join you guys, but I was getting my suspension worked on. Well, everything is on (control arms, traction, camber arms, Tokico D-specs), so let me know when the next trip is.

We missed you Gil - Derek and I will be at the Chicago Lotus Corps HPDE at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Rockton, Illinois on May 16th - a Monday. I don't know if they have any spaces left - if you're interested I can get you contact info.
I have to get some new rubber - my Ecsta MX's are pretty much worn to a nub after two straight weekends at the big track.
Blackhawk is a safer course than Road America - and there's also the new Autobahn course in Joliet. I'll be there in June and again maybe in July - it's *really* safe, a lot like Gingerman in Michigan with lots of run-off room. Good track to break into performance driving at!

Is that Road America? My coworker drove out for that track day. He has the red stock looking EVO . . . it's in one or two of your pics. I would have been there if my Mustang was ready.
