fasted time I've seen is 5.5 for an 03'/04...i think the 05' is a bittle slower...simular to the anniversay 350z

I think the '05 would be quicker, one less shift.
The numbers you are seeing for the anniversay 350z were most likely on a new engine, and if it was Car and Driver it was with a full tank of gas, thats how they test.
I'm just getting through break in and I can tell you it is much quciker now then 500 miles ago.

The '05 may end up being quicker with more horsepower but shifting won't have anything to do with it. The manual G's all have the same gearing and the difference on the tires equals .1mph on the rear tires. Any year G will be running in 2nd gear at 60mph.
Your car will definitely get quicker as it breaks in for a lot more miles yet. If you're following manufacturer break in procedure you won't have experienced the real power at higher rpms this car car has. There may be some improvement in fuel economy as well after break in, if you keep your foot out of it.

This is my prediction.......the first mag to test it will get 1/10 second slower to 60 and all the 03/04 G's will be saying I told you so. Raving how they knew torque rules, but then 1 month later another mag tests and gets the same exact #'s as a 03/04. Even if they dont and get 1/10 slower or faster, who cares? NO ONE will "feel" that difference and there are too many factors that come into play with these test.
