Currently there is a recall on the 2003 coupe.

On some 2003 G35 Sport Coupes, there is a possibility that the engine might stop running while being driven if the crank position sensor fails. This may also result in the "Service Engine Soon" light coming on or reduced engine power. If the engine stops running while driving, this could result in a crash without warning.

There is nothing for the 2004 but it does not seem unlikely that it could be the same sort of issue.

got a question for both who had problems and no problems
what kind of intake you guys used?
like i said earlier, i am on the border line of getting an intake and i am considering V2
i heard from several people that V2 is the number one intake out in the aftermarkets.
i am not planning to mod heavily so i am getting the best intake out there.
pm - welcome

Yes... sirrr...

I actually started testing this just in case my car had the same probs.

I would agressively go to 90, no probs..

I would agressively go to 100, no probs..

I would aggressively go to 90, go to nuetral and coast, no probs..

I would aggressively go to 90, then when going around a curve down shift to 4th, no probs..

so it must be something else.. but what??

It depends on the type of intake you want. I personally have the AEM CAI and love it.

There are several different intake options:

+ K&N/Ztube combo (alot of supporters of this combo)

+ AEM or Injen CAI (Cold Air Intake) - (either option is great!)

+ Short ram with heat shield (I think V2, JWT fall into this category)

Im not sure which option has the greater performance gains, or if a comparison has ever been performed. I think somebody (AMS MIKE comes to mind) will do a comparison of the different types of intakes to see the performance gains of each. But search around the boards, im sure there's alot of info.

Got the car back yesterday. They said there was nothing they could do because they couldn't reproduce the problem. So I went out and did the same thing you did. Tried all types of scenarios and it wouldn't shut off. I don't know, I'll just try to pay attention to it next time it happens....if it happens.
