I'm glad it's out and everything, and APS is a reputable company... but still would like to know testing results before I buy anything. I don't have much respect for aftermarket companies that sell a product before even being able to show dyno numbers. In the least, as part of the product development process, dynos should be available. That should be standard process as part of the development of a performance product.

What's consensus on airflow limits of the factory fuel programming? With a drop-in filter, G-tube, headers and Y-pipe, is an ECU reflash going to be needed with the addition of this plenum to get the mixture to a reasonable point? Or is just with the addition of hi-flow cats with the above combo that might lean things out of the optimum range?

I'd sit this one out for a month or two. There are going to be so many people on my350z.com buy this and do independent dynos that it isn't even funny. (Those guys are much more hard core than most of us.) The truth about this product will soon be revealed and if the N/A results are 1/2 as good as the FI results, it would appear to be a pretty good buy.

One potential problem... there is a lot of speculation about the TS ECU reflash being mandatory to see any power. This means a ~$800 manifold and a ~$600 reflash for ???? power. Another "issue" is the interesting post about "lifting" on the FI dyno run. If this is the case, the N/A product might not be any better than the plenums and spacers we already have...

Only time will tell.

If it's as good as the competition, that would be fine with me. Doesn't hurt having more viable options on the market.

And while I wasn't going to jump on this one ASAP, I agree that waiting to see some independent dyno results is a good idea. Likewise, finding out if the addition of the plenum, with common airflow mods such as header, exhaust, cats, etc., will require a reflash is a must. As I mentioned in my previous post, finding out at what point the reflash is necessary, before I get there, would be beneficial.

Neff, $800 for the intake manifold? The APS one is only $355. Don't know about the real gains but it sure looks a whole lot better than other plenum choices at this point. Whatever happened to their idea of putting in a direct NOS port?

Suk- This "plenum" (poor choice of words) is actually the upper and lower manifold redesigned into a straight shot deal. Have you seen the photos? It looks sick. BTW, is Suk- Japanese for Sky?

If I got one I'd have to slap a Crawford Sticker on it or else I'd be banned from the brother hood.

neff,

are you referring to the new Kinetix intake manifold or the APS plenum? I think the $800 one you're probably refering to is the Kinetix one huh?

Yeah, the Kinetix seems to be what you are speaking off. If I had the money I would get the Kinetix just because it looks sick. Gain or no gain, it's quite a show piece.

Sweet. I have quite a bit of experience with APS products and everything I've seen from them has been absolutely top notch. I'll definitely be following the info on this.
