ipod in 05 G?

hi,
Ive been wanting to get my ipod hooked up for a bit now..

Since the 05's dont have a cassette player, looks like my only option is the wireless FM transmitter? Or am I overlooking some other option?

The AAI-NIS

It involves taking apart the car to hook it up to the radio but you get a clean sound all the time with it. I did it myself and just ran the cable though the ashtray so I can stick it in there and close it up when I want it to look clean.

Take a look at http://g35ipod.com/home.php too.

i would suggest you do that... the FM transmitter is VERY "iffy" if you do not stay in one area its hard to get a good signal.. seeing how your in NJ theres probably not that many channels open to you

Yes you are missing an option, the '05 can play 6 mp3 cd's, burn your ipod to cd and stick them in the car.

There's also an iCruze, and i think you can get it at BestBuy. You would have to get the main iCruze module ($249), and get another module for your car (i think module E - $99) and have BestBuy install ($60) it for you.

It's a little pricey for just your iPod, but it's at least another option, and the sound quality is very good.

If you don't wanna mod your car, then the FM transmitter is probably your best bet. I have a Monster iCarPlay and that thing works great. Yeah, its not the best quality, but mine still comes in pretty clear. I use 107.7 FM for the signal here in SoCal.

Yeah....I sold my 40 gig Ipod for $400 loaded with music, and Im going to just burn all of the music onto CDs in mp3 format. I can fit over 150 songs on a CD....since G35 stereos play that format.

Personally, I just went with CD's... cause basically all the music I have on my iPOD were ripped from my CDs so there really isn't a difference... but if there was a cheaper/easier option (besides FM and cassette) for the IPod... I'd do it.
